Hi, I’m Molly Howell, immunization director for the North Dakota Department of Health. All North Dakotans are encouraged to pay attention to prevention. Vaccines are an important part of your child’s growth and development. Please, make an appointment today to get your child vaccinated against serious illnesses including measles, mumps, and polio. Cost should not be a barrier for any parent to get your child vaccinated. North Dakota participates in the vaccines for children program, which is a federal entitlement program that provides free vaccines for children who are uninsured, underinsured, on Medicaid or American Indian. And so any child in North Dakota should be able to receive vaccines.
